Blessing in the preparation
The watchful servant is a great parable that teaches us not only that our Master is pleased when we are ready and able to serve him, but that our Master is pleased when we prepare the way for his return. Everything that we do, talk about, or act upon should be in readiness for the return of the Lord. After reading this parable, We should feel a challenge to look at our own daily lives, weighing the temporary things against the things that have eternal value. I pray that my actions grow to become eternally focused, and that my preparation for all things will be based upon the work of our Christ.
