Never Give Up!
John 16:1 “I have told you these things to keep you from giving up."
Jesus is giving a final pep talk before He goes to the cross. He knows what is about to go down and how the disciples are going to react. There will be chaos, heartache, and confusion for them but He tells them- don’t give up!
Jesus knows that we are going to walk through difficult times in our lives too. His word to the disciples here is the same word for us today. Whenever I hear a story of someone who has persevered through a rough patch there is always a new found respect for them because they did not give up. In the same way, our lights shine brightest when we walk through dark times.
Lord Jesus, thank You for Your word! When times are difficult help me to remember to Never-ever-give up! You will carry me through!
