We go through our day feeling good, showing politeness, saying hello to a stranger or two. And even just last sunday, you went to church. And so now by monday morning, your rip roaring ready and spiritually charged to tackle your week. Then all of a sudden here comes miss office queen. She just passed you by, and you just got a big wiff of her sweet smelling perfume. And I might add, its the kind that you like. Now your mind is telling you.. " Naw im not gonna even think that way, im a chistian. And im supposed to be workin on my lusting "
You think back to your non christian days and say, " Man I would_ _ _ _if I was_ _ _ _ " Right? Some how the flesh just keeps poking at yourself does it not? Finally your shift has ended and your going home. The thought of miss office queen has pretty much disappeared from your mind, Or has it? You manage to get through your evening, you take a shower, eat dinner maybe even read a couple chapters in Gods Word to get that much needed wisdom and strenghth. Night time comes upon you and your laying there in bed thinking about your day. Oops, miss office queen is in the mix of your good thoughts, now whats up?
Your thinking, " Man im gonna try to avoid her tommarrow at work " Well, todays the day, she's waring something tight today in the office. Your fighting it really, really hard. This is where wisdom comes in to view, and not that of our own. Really, the sexual desire is one of the most deadliest traps there is known to man. On one hand its a beautifull thing to have. To pleasure the husband and wife, to have children...Certainly not for loose conduct is it? This desire for sex is not wrong, its the way in which the devil can make it appear to our minds. He makes it seem as well as feel harmless to do miss office queen!
Really it boils down to our relationship with the Lord. A brother nor a sister in the congregation can help you, mom and dad cant, so whats up now? Do you go on and proceed with your lustfull persuit? Or do you let the love of the Lord and relationship take first in your life? Remember, even a moment of pleasure could cost you your life. Think twice, three time or maybe as many as you need to keep your relationship with the Lord. And finally, always pray, pray, pray. Please read the above book for encouragement.
