What I want

In our Churches there are many who remain carnal simply because the entrance into true spirituality is no longer understood. To be carnal is to have an unrenewed self that is dominated by self-will, unrenewed emotions and an unrenewed mind. Previous generations of believers taught that we needed to “die to self” but in this generation there does not seem to be any understanding about the unrenewed self and particularly self-will. I first heard the expression “Dying to self” when I was a young Christian and I struggled with some misunderstanding about what the “self” was. I have learned through the years some important lessons about self-will and I am convinced that the unrenewed self is all about “what I want” and not about what God wants.
