Your Soul Is Mine.

As I continue reading Exodus, and coming across the diverse amount of plagues, there is constant repetition following behind it in a symbolic and fulfilling way. However, this verse in particular caught my attention. Perhaps my interpretation of the passage will be wrong, but here is what I get out of it:"Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field" (Exodus 9:3). Continuing on in verse 4, it states, "The LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of that is the children's of Israel." Israel is God's chosen people -- and in fact, He wants everyone, but there are some people who still reject God out of their own volition and when the time comes (death), they are going to be separated eternally from the Lord Jesus Christ. God is looking down upon us -- we are His cattle, but the Lord clearly says, "Nothing shall die of that is the children's of Israel." Those who follow God will not die, they will live an everlasting life, for John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Also, as you read about the ample amount of plagues for the Egyptians, you also notice (not a retribution) an underlying sense of suffering and unsatisfying time for the Egyptians, which was caused by who? Themselves. So too, we have an easy choice -- and I'm not saying that you won't have grief or sorrow, pain or agony, when following the Lord, but you'll always feel better with Him (He went through all the trials and temptations, and humanly functions as we do), and you will be in Heaven one day, living in His glorious foundation that He planned for us. Romans 10:13 says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." My friends, don't waste any more time -- call on Him.
