Your beauty and love chase after me
I have seen this take place this last week. There is a lady who lives in the town that I live in and she attended our church for a little while a few years back. Two of her children died in a car wreck about 5 years ago and she came to me for help. I led her through the grief share curriculum and during that time, she gave her life to Jesus, began attending church, reading her Bible and was making great strides in dealing with her grief. But somewhere along the road to healing, she got off course and went back to her old life. She quit griefshare, got angry at God all over again, and quit church. Over that span of a couple of years, I still kept in touch with her, I would stop and see her periodically at her job, she works at a gas station, and her life was out of control again. The great thing is, this past week, she called me on the phone and asked if she could come over to talk. Her boyfriend had been arrested for being late on child support payments and she wasn't sure what she was going to do. She was scared, upset and felt like life was falling apart. She admitted she had been praying and asking God to help, and wanted to know if I would pray with her. We talked for a couple of hours, I told her how much God loved her, and desired to have a relationship with her, and that God was pursuing her. I gave her a bible, and a book to read, "Life's Healing Choices" and prayed that if it was God's will that God would work it out so her boyfriend would get out of jail. I received a phone call from her the next day! Her boyfriend was released from jail! She has read through the book, and is loving it. It is helping her through her hurts, her hangups and her habits, she is reading her bible and praying daily! It is so great to be a part of God's beauty and love chasing after us! God is soooo good!
