Crossing THE Line!

The danger in having an understanding of the Greek that the Bible was written in is the distractions that come. For instance starting in verse 3 thru verse 14 you have one long very convoluted sentence. Really bad English but lovely use of the Greek Language.

Probably not a richer set of verses in all the Bible. The chorus that pops out 3 time in this passage, 'to the praise of his glorius grace or some very similar color the who passage for me. I am writing J5 today and I am trying to convince the reader that we are made for his glory and there is no better place to find life than fighting the fight to bring glory on the Father who has lavished on me a favor that I am only beginning to discover.

It really isn't about me but God in his unlimited wisdom allows me to stand in the flow of his glory. When I reflect his character, actions and purpose, I find the sweetest spot in life. So crossing the line, not the line of faith but the "It's not about me line, that is when life begins.

So many people come to the Cross to soothe their guilt when Jesus longs us to find life not just eases our emotional pain for the crap we've done. We are justified thru imputation! We are made right by the rightness of Jesus being deposited to our accounts.

Here is a great 'Bible Study.' Rewrite this chapter with a dictionary close by. Rewrite it in plain English. Read it out loud and then sit silent. Read it out loud again and sit silent. Let these small phrases marinade into your soul. Wow, before the world began he dreamed of me being in his family, adopted. He did more than dream, he made it possible for me to enjoy his favor even when I don't deserve it.

Father something mysterious hapens in me when I am touched by your great love. Giving my life away doesn't seem like such a big deal. In fact it is a pleasure.
