Death as Gods WILL
"for it was the Lord's will to put them to death."
So God shut their ears because it was HIS WILL for them to die? How interesting. I have heard many people say that God does not have His hand in who lives or who dies. But this very verse shows us that God's will can include death. And why shouldn't it? Can we put God in a box and say that death is just a part of life? No, there is no box big enough for God, I believe. It is God that is a part of life, even for those who do not listen as is the case with these men in this verse.
