Wouldn't it be wonderful if we all had a common language and speech?
I look around and notice that I don't understand some people because I don't speak their language. I would love to be able to speak Italian. That is one language I have an interest in learning. It was frustrating for me to be in Italy with my stepfamily for three weeks and not know what most people were talking about. At the same time, I came to understand the importance of a smile. Smiles are universal.
There is a language that does not get much attention. It's sign language. I would be able to use a little at best, but I have no idea how to sign most things. It is beautiful to watch them sign during church. It fascinates me. It's a language I do not quite understand.
Even though we messed things up, there is still beauty to be seen in these different languages.
