Haiti- walking through the valley of the shadow of death

My reading today was Psalm 23, and once again I'm reminded of Haiti. Right now Port-au-Prince the "valley of the shadow of death", and so many men, women, children have become orphans and widows as a result of this devastating earthquake.

Here is hope for those walking through the valley, surrounded by darkness and death...

"Even when I walk,
through the dark valley of death, (Port-au-Prince)
I will NOT be afraid. (Haiti, do not fear)
For you are close beside me. (God is there with you, dear people)
Your rod and your staff (He is using the troops, volunteers, and donations as his comforting rod and staff)
protect me and comfort me." (there is peace beyond all understanding)

Haiti, the Lord your shepherd is with you...we are praying for you.
