Wisdom = Jesus, I still am amazed reading Proverbs...
- Proverbs 9:1 (ASV)
- Proverbs 9:2 (ASV)
- Proverbs 9:3 (ASV)
- Proverbs 9:4 (ASV)
- Proverbs 9:5 (ASV)
- Proverbs 9:6 (ASV)
Again for me, I see my Savior Jesus as being the wisdom that Solomon speaks of.
No I do not think Jesus is a woman, of course not, but I do see Him as gentle, kind,
Loving, humble, serving, generous, wise, teacher, and many qualities of that nature.
The people waiting on the Messiah to come, were not waiting on someone with these
Qualities, they were waiting on one with power, and might, and KINGSHIP. Yes, Jesus
Has those qualities as well, but what did he show while he was Emmanuel? In NO way did He
Act as a woman, not even close! He was fully man, and He was fully God. Yet, He taught us
How to be gentler, kinder, and more loving. Something very different than what was expected…
1. Wisdom has built her house; she has set up its seven pillars.
Revelation speaks of Jesus' seven churches.
2. She has prepared her meat and mixed her wine; she has also set her table.
Jesus has prepared everything in advance for our being invited into his home. He planned for
You to come, he had everything ready way ahead of time, even before sending out invitations.
3. She has sent our her servants, and she calls from the highest point of the city.
Jesus says that all will hear and have the choice before he comes again. The invitation is for all people, it is called out from the highest point, so that all can hear it.
4. "Let all who are simple come to my house!" To those who have no sense she says,
5. "come, eat my food and drink the wine I have mixed.
Jesus' invitation is for everyone. It is for us simple, people that have no sense. We are invited to come
Partake in this dinner, as guest, invited by a Savior, invited by a King. He has prepared for you a feast, that will not leave your hungry or thirsty.
6. Leave your simple ways and you will live; walk in the way of insight."
Our ways will not lead us to a feast, our ways are simple, and lead to death. If we leave this way of living, we will find life, we will live. We have to walk in the way of insight. Walking with the Holy Spirit. Walking with Jesus. NOW that is something that will give us life.
