Return Soon JESUS!
Acts 1:11 They said, “Men of Galilee, why are you standing here looking into the sky? Jesus, whom you saw taken up from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you saw him go.”
I was talking to a friend who is going to a home church that puts an emphasis on prophecy. This is very out of the box for my friend but what my friend loves about it is that there is an anticipation for Jesus to come at any time. If you look at life through the lens of “Christ's return to restore His kingdom” it makes the problems of our world a little more easy to digest. This earth is not our final destination. It's as if we are just traveling through until our final destination. One day Jesus will return and set things straight.
Lord Jesus,when you return, I want to be found being faithful to what you have called me to do.
It's easy for me to get discouraged as I look on at the problems of this day. Please help me to remember that this place is not my final destination and in this world there will be trouble. Please return soon Jesus!
