to pacify me???
To pacify the people he did as they asked... I mean yelled! This seams all to easy to read and pass on by (I did, until I read this morning) The people then are still doing the same thing to us today, when you make a stand for Jesus in your life, When you make a simple life style choice in your life, when you come to church more than once a week....
How do they do this to you.. by simply telling you, you don't need to go to church more than once a week, you don't need to stop eating for this fast you're on (A loving God will understand, in mockery they say this), by telling you "well everyone is not doing that and look at them, they're doing just fine."
As we entertain these thoughts and think more about the consequences in our life for making our stand for Jesus, we just might end up pacifying the crowds.
