Hostage Worry

Hostage-Worry

Romans 14,23 23 … If you do anything you believe is not right, you are sinning.
Worry is the sin of disturbing the promises and power of God.

2. Timothy 1,7 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.

Matthew 6,25 25 "That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn't life more than food, and your body more than clothing?

Don´t worry about anything! God got us covered.
How will we stop the strangeled hold of worry?
1. I will do what God asks me to do
James 1,22 22 But don't just listen to God's word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.

God will ask me to think on the right things

We can take thoughts captive and make them obedient to Christ. We have to retrain our minds
We can do what is wise

2. I will give God what I cannot do
Present God your worries
Worry is born when we don´t trust God. We think God is smaller than us.

3. No matter what happens I will trust God

Matthew 6,33-34 33 Seek the Kingdom of Gods above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
34 "So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today.

Proverbs 3,5-6 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
6 Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.
