Rejoice after ridicule
Peter and John were repeatedly told not to preach/teach the Word of God. They were thrown in jail and even beaten. What is even more amazing is their attitude after they were beaten. The verse says, "They rejoiced." They felt honored to have been beaten and suffer shame for God. As Christians, we too should continue on when faced with ridicule. We get called names for always reading the Bible and talked about as being "Holly Rollers" because people don't truly understand, but this should not stop us from sharing the wonderful Word of God and all the great things He has done for us. We should continue to rejoice and spread the Word!
