Wow! My first thought after reading the story of Samson and Delilah is "why did Samson trust Delilah over and over?" But, I guess he didn't really trust her, as each time she asked how Samson could be subdued, he told her a lie. Then, he gives in and tells the truth. Maybe because he knew God would use him in an extraordinary way in the end? I love how verse 21 foreshadows that something else is coming when it says that the hair on his head began to grow.
This is a cool story. . .inspirational and sad all at the same time. The picture in my head of this man of supernatural strength reduced to a bald blind weakling brings tears to my eyes. But, the end is like something you see in an action hero movie. It's powerful, and tells us that with God on our side, we can do anything! Samson's strength inhabits more than just his body; Samson is strong in faith.
