Dying for Jesus

"Look, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing in the place of honor at God's right hand!" This verse brings tears to my eyes. Stephen was the first martyr for Jesus and He showed Stephen how much He loved him by giving him a standing ovation as Stephen died. Every other time Jesus is referenced in the Bible with regards to Heaven, He is referred to as being SEATED at the right hand of the Father, not standing, as He was for Stephen. Can you imagine doing something that impresses Jesus so much that HE gives YOU a standing ovation? After all He's done for me, I can't imagine doing anything for Him that would ever be worthwhile and yet Stephen did. Amazing, isn't it?
