Joy - our response to Trial
2 Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity.
This verse makes me ashame this morning. So many times in my life when I am facing difficult times, I go into a complaining and sulking mode. But this verse tells us to reach deep into our source of Joy. If don't focus on that but instead on our trials and difficulties we get depressed. I ask myself : but how can I do that. How can I keep the right perspective on situations, especially when it seems out of control. The answer: Don't just stand there man, PRAY man. Take your problems to the throne of heaven. It will get attention there. It will be handled. Your letter of complaint will reach the highest authority and He will deal accordingly. He knows best.
Father God, i confess my worries, my problems, things that want drag me down. So many times I keep it for myself but you tell me : "Give it to me". This morning I give it all to you Heavenly Father. Release me from this troubles. Fill me with your Joy, Peace and happiness. I want to serve you wholeheartedly.
