Delight in the beauty of the LORD
In this verse, David shows his true heart--a heart that desires God. Although David acknowledged that he was always with the Lord, nonetheless, the shepherd-king kept coming back to the Lord. Yes, our love for the Lord God, must be tempered with reverence and fear, but the true heart of our love must be that we delight in Him. David doesn't just want to spend a little time now and then with the Lord, he wants to dwell where the Lord dwells, to behold and grasp and bask in the glory of the Lord. That is what love is like: we want to enjoy our Beloved all the time. May we all so desire our Lord this way!
