Many times because of our past we feel useless in the Kingdom of God. "How could God ever use me for His purpose?", we may ask ourselves. We all have failures in our past. We walk into a church and sometimes feel that everyone has it together except for us. When we read about Jesus family line we see a liar in Jacob or a prostitue in Rahab, yet that is Jesus' family tree. They both along with others encounterd God at some point that changed their lives. Jesus Christ came to take away the sin of the world. Do we mess up sometimes? Do we mess up "big time" sometimes? Absolutely! Scripture tells us that He will forgive us, cleanse us. Scritpure tells us that when we turn from that old person we are new in Chirst. Don't sell yourself short. When you when you have turned your life over to HIm, you are not that old person anymore. You are a child of God, you are now part of His lineage. Wow! We are now in the family tree.
