The Established Path

I try daily to be the "man of God" that I feel He wants me to be. One problem with that; my vantage point. My point of view. How I see myself in God's eyes and not how He sees me. I become distant with my creator due to my failures. My failures are not because I am struggling with / losing to old sin or as people used to say "falling from grace". Personally, I don't like that saying because it makes it sound like, somehow, God lost His grip on me and His grace is something I deserve. No, the point is, I view myself from the ground up and not heaven down. My worth is based on what I have done in the past and what I feel confident to do. My choices are based allot on what I see around me and in me. Choices by View; this is where the issue is.
This is where God's word shifts me back. Psalms 37:23,24 A man’s goings are established by Jehovah; and he delights in His way. Though he fail, he shall not be utterly cast down; for Jehovah upholdeth him with His hand.
The God that created the heavens, the earth, and me knows that I am weak and can’t make it without Him. He created me for relationship with him. He views me on the creation and what he put into me and has set a path ahead of me. He knows my potential, my weakness, my joys and my pain. He knows that as long as I am following Him and not pursuing the old me or the worlds way, I am at my happiest point and most content. He also knows that I will fall. At that point, His reach is long enough to take his hand and hold me up, and in some cases, literally pick me up and put me back on the path. Sometimes that hand is the Word of God and sometimes it is a brother. Either way, He finds worth in me, enough to put me back on course based on His view and brings me ever closer.
The next time that you feel like you have slipped from course, fallen off path, are the sole survivor in the battle, or just beaten up by the day to day, remember; God made you. He loves you. He has a plan for you. And if you need help, all you need to do is call on him. He will help you get up and back in that place where you are most content, following the established path. We are not alone
