how can you say you love god and not love others? its not just about going to heaven.

when people say they prayed for you, ask them what they prayed! let's encourag each other and share what god lays on our hearts. encouragers get far more than others.

be deliberate with the way we speak to each other, and when we are alone.

Paul tells the people at collossi what he's been praying, to encourage them.

Paul prayed 3 things for the people. things we should pray for others and ourselves.

1) I pray that you "get it" v9b. He prays that they get complete knowledge and wisdom. - COMPLETE. (person with incomplete knowledge is dangerous. some is dangerous when you act like its "all.") - KNOWLEDGE OF HIS WILL. result of practical and personal experience. not just from books. we know it works because its working IN US. we can't convince others if it isn't working for us. people want to talk to others who have experience. - SPIRITUAL WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING . requires prayer. James 1.5 . ask generous God for wisdom. he won't rebuke you. also requires Gods word. we have gotten in trouble from lack of knowledge. hosea 4:6. god has given us GPS, fuel, and vehicle, and we CHOOSE to be lost. that's not Gods choice. God gives it to us and helps us Get It. we NEED his help.

2) I pray that you LIVE IT. v10-11. How do we live it? -WE'RE ALWAYS GROWING. never arrive till you get to heaven. we need to grow in the knowledge of Him himself. not just his purpose, will, or job. jer 9:23-24 boast in God, and that he saved and redeemed us. are we daily increasing in knowledge of WHO HE IS. we have face to face relationship with him. - ALWAYS SHOWING. v11. show lot in our faith, in all situations. don't "park" in our intellect. show our growth. DON'T settle in our growth and say "there are a lot of people below me." let's go TO THE TOP. god takes it all, but gives back more than you could ever imagine.

3) I pray that YOU SHARE IT. v12-14. God has enabled us to share in THE INHERITANCE. he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness. transferred us to the kingdom of his son. - BE GRATEFUL. 1pet 1:3-5. we've been transferred to the Kingdom if God. - BE GENEROUS. be generous with OURSELVES. are we holding back? planning to commit in the future? commit it NOW. live faithful, live free, live fun. be generous with your life.
