Total Trust
16 "and said, By myself have I sworn, saith Jehovah, because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son,17 that in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heavens, and as the sand which is upon the seashore. And thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies."
I interpret these verses to show that only when we completely put our trust in the Lord can we truly be saved. The Lord will not fail us when we have given the Lord our complete trust. The Lord's plan may not appear in our best interest at first [we may doubt the Lord's plan] but so long as we have complete trust in our Lord our lives will be worthwhile in the [ultimate] end as we have been obedient.
