What struck me most in Acts 2 was how every man heard the message in his own language. That must have been an awesome feeling when those men heard the Holy Spirit speaking to them through people who had never been able to communicate with them before.
Then it occurred to me that God is doing this even today, and through more than just literal translations of His message into languages all around the world. Today, He communicates to us where we are and through a "language" that we can understand. For some, His message is received in a song, for others through a sermon, for others through the kind act of a stranger or friend, for some through a movie or a book, and the list goes on and on. After all, who would have imagined not too many years ago that we would be sharing His message with each other over the Internet? We've just added another "language" to the way Broadway UMC is spreading His word.
