Continuity

One of the writer's (Luke) points in Acts is that the Holy Spirit, through the disciples, is continuing the work of God begun in Jesus while Jesus was alive. More specifically, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ propelling the disciples OUTWARD into the world on a mission to establish God's kingdom. Acts 3 is an example of the disciples doing the exact things Jesus did--healing and proclaiming the message that invites people to God. It's an example of the signs and wonders we are to expect in Jerusalem... and eventually in Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth.
