James 3:13
If you are wise and understand God's ways, live a life of steady goodness so that only good deeds will pour forth. And if you don't brag about the good you do, then you will truly be wise!
This is one of my most favorite scriptures and I try to live by it every day of my life.
But what this chapter also says about taming the tongue is huge and totally true/applicable. Holding your tongue is one of the hardest things to do and I struggle with it all the time. I try not to give into gossip but I fail. I'll be working on that. No more gossip when we hang out, k sam? well....we will try our best!
Also, God has given me direction!!! I have been asking for it for years but if i was told years ago I don't think it would have been as big to me and had as much meaning as it does now. Gods timing is truly beautiful. I'm going to be a counselor :) I will most likely focus on helping people who suffer from depression/low self esteem as well as ADHD or people affected by ADHD. I have never been so excited. The instant it came up I knew it was given to me from God. I'm excited to see where this takes me.
