I just LOVE Acts. 4:13. "The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus."

They were nothing special...except... by they way... they had been with Jesus. Sort of makes all the difference in the world doesn't it! Boldness. Fearlessness. Unexplainable wisdom. The ability to bring healing. Uncommon selflessness and mutual care within the community of believers.

Makes we want to be described that way... nothing about him was noteworthy... except... by the way... he knew Jesus.
