Prosperity is a test

"Look, I'm going to rain down food from heaven for you. Each day the people can go out and pick up as much food as they need for that day. I will test them in this to see whether or not they will follow my instructions." (Ex 16:4 NLT)

We think of prosperity as a blessing and times of lack as trials and testing. Yet in this instance (and perhaps many others), God uses prosperity to test the obedience of His people. Would they remember His instructions? Would they follow Him? How about over time, would they still remember? One-time obedience is not enough. Lord, help us all pass the test of prosperity.
