I have to just add a thought.
Last night was the Celebration of the Life of Lonnie Stauffer. I only knew Lonnie when he would greet me in the hall, be a dinner or when I picked up a bulletin. I could see his gentle spirit even in those small acts, but last night I was privileged to learn of a Servant of God.
In light of todays scriptures I must comment that Lonnie's life was the polar opposite of the lead characters in todays story. He was the heart that was open, giving, honest and filled with God's Holy Spirit. I wish I had known him better. My prayers are with Linda, Jeremy and Heather and all the family. I am in awe of the firm foundation and unwavering faith that I see in Linda and the kids.
