God uses even the least of these to reveal His Glory
I think it is fascinating that Tamar, Rahab, Ruth and Bathsheba (although named by reference) - 4 women, at least 2 of whom weren't even Hebrew - were listed in Matthew's geneology of Jesus. Not only that, but the reputations of Tamar, Rahab and Bathsheba show the redemptive power of Christ, and obviously the beautiful kinsman redeemer example through Ruth remains very important for us as well. For a period of time when women were not respected, this illustrates yet again how God places value in all lives and uses even the meekest of us as vessels for His Glory.
