Did you say jump, Lord? How high?

So many times I look at scripture and can read it for two or three days in a row and never feel like I get anything out of it. It seems like just words on a page. However, I'm a firm believer in the fact that God does nothing unintentially and there is no such thing as a coincidence. Every time I am faithful, He always has a mission in mind for me, no matter how out of the ordianary or how much I don't understand the why at first. And I have learned over the years, (the hard way of course), that when He speaks, I better listen and act immediately. Just like Philip did, just like Abraham did. Just imagine if Abraham didn't go when God told him! The whole course of human history could have been changed. Look at Eve, if only she had listened and not questioned,....hmmmm...just think of the possibilities of what might have been different if those that listened, didn't listen and didn't act. So many lives changed. We all have to remember, that God has a specific path for all of us. We don't always listen so our paths get deviated. Just think of the things that we miss when we go our way not God's way; when we drag our feet or are too scared to move because it's not what we normally do. We are all in the same position of sorts as Abraham or Philip; not that we will be the fathers of nations or apostles; but we are all missionaries of some sort. Every person we meet watches us and sees how we behave and react. Who knows when we may meet someone just like Philip who may possibly go to their home (whether it be Scottsville or Scotland) and spread God's word to others?
