A famine in our land
There is a famine in our land, even in our churches today for the Word of God. People searching everywhere, every author, every philosophy, every opinion of all opinion makers and we thirst and hunger still. Everyone wants to know how to have a closer relationship to God, How can I feel His presence more, why do i feel so far away from Him, why can't i beat the sin in my life, i know better? The necessary food is available to us all, but we do every thing but eat it and long for more. We have refreshing waters to quench all our thirst, but we seek every short cut to avoid the work of getting His Word, His mind, His Spirit in us. We seek to tell others our troubles and we spend much time confessing them and sharing our woes, but we spend little time finding the power of God that will work to change our lives, Romans 1:16. The gospel, the word of God is alive and will bring us closer to Him and will give power to live, but we must choose to eat, or we go hungry.
