Observation
Paul had a dramatic connection with Jesus (read Acts 9, note his original name was "Saul"). The result of the connection was that over time, apprenticeship as a follower of Jesus, on the job training, and day to day devotion Paul became sold out to Jesus.

Application
Paul, like you and I, learned the fine art of being sold out to Jesus. This was not a one time "becoming sold out" but rather, a lifesyle of turning life over to the Lordship of Jesus. Like you and me at the first stages of our relationship with God, we are as sold out as we can be at the time - but over time, yes, over time, we can become more and more sold out. Sold as bond-slaves...set apart for His service having become ambitious for Him rather than self.

Prayer
Lord, today, help me walk closer to You, to listen, to surrender and yet to do as one set apart. I really need Your help. thanks
