Suffering and Persecution
You are sound asleep in your own bed, the children are down the hall and the night is calm and quiet. You hear a crash at the door and before you know it you have been pulled by force out of your home along with your family. They separate you and your children, it is cold and damp and dark where they have placed you. You are hungry and thirsty and afraid.
This sounds so much like the early church, the days following the stoning of Stephen and of course that is true. This is also true of the church in many places beyond our borders.

As we read about the early church I need to remember the sacrifices made and pray for those who are standing firm for the gospel of Christ.
