God's favour

9 Now God made Daniel to find kindness and compassion in the sight of the prince of the eunuchs...and...17 Now as for these four youths, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom. How did Daniel receive favour even in the conditions he found himself? Verse 9 show me that Daniel received favour from the servant of the king because he was full of expectation. Daniel believed that God will favour him, regardless of his situation. He spoke and asked the servant to be favoured. And the result? Verse 17 - he received knowledge, skill and wisdom from God. This part in Daniel made me think of my expectations in tuff situations. Do I go all grumpy and worry, or do I fill myself with expectation for God's favour for me? I must THINK and SPEAK and claim God's favour for me in any situation!! As God promised me in His Word.
Lord, today, in all situations, let me not be filled with worry, but fill me with expectation in You. Help me to put a guard before my thoughts and tongue. Lord, I claim my favour from you for today!! I praise you Lord, and not my will, but your will. Amen
