My Understanding of Leviticus
Hi,
An animal were to be sacrificed to the Lord to bring a sweet aroma to Him.
At this stage, whenever an animal is sacrificed, an atonement for the sins of people would occur. This is a great reality, because it is a foretaste of what was to happen when Jesus Himself was sacrificed on the cross.
So it's an amazing story where our sins has always been dealt with sacrificially.
The procedure doesn't only stop on the first chapter of Leviticus but rather continues for five, six chapters.
