Specialized in Christ

The Holy Spirit gives each of us special spiritual abilities in Christ Jesus. Notice how Paul makes it very clear that there are different gifts of the Holy Spirit and they are given out according to how the Holy Spirit sees fit. Unfortunately, many Christians today do not understand this and many have been falsely taught that all believers who have the Holy Spirit at work in their life will receive a certain gift as evidence (most common example is speaking in tongues). This is a false teaching and does not honor God. We were all different before we received Christ and we are all STILL different after the fact. God uses our differences to fulfill his plan and purpose-this is evident in how he blesses us differently with natural abilities and spiritual gifts. We should celebrate our different abilities in Christ, not mandate that all believers share the same spiritual gifts
