With Him, we can be confident
Some seem to think that we have the powers to calm the seas and the storms. However, the point in this story is not that authority of the disciples but the power of who's with them. When Jesus said that they had little faith, he was basically saying, "I'm in the ship with you, you have nothing to fear, When I make a dwelling with any man, he won't perish, for the ones my father gave me, no-one will take away". When we Christians go through trials, our faith (if there is any at all) should remind us that He that is with us is GREATER than he that is in the world. The storms may and will come, but if Jesus is at peace, we too should be at peace knowing that we won't perish with Him on our side.
