Save me, God

Psalm 69:1 "Save me, God, for the water has risen to my neck."....
Is that how far the water has come up on you? Indeed, would we have the same intuition as the Psalmist, to turn to God? It really should be an automatic, yes, when the waters creep up to our necks that we do keep our focus on the deliverance that flows through Almighty God. More times than not though, we have a tendency to rely on friends, government help, banks, etc etc.
In the same Psalm chapter, verse (5), "God, You know my foolishness, and my guilty acts are not hidden from You" personally, I have a hard time admitting to God that my acts are foolish, I know they are not hidden from Him. Nevertheless, is not always easy to admit foolishness.
