Who is the Son, and What is His Word?
Being analytical in nature, I delight especially in Scripture that appears to explain something of the "physics" of how God interacts with the world. That is...how is the structure put together? The great balance is for me to not box God in by the conclusions drawn, but rather to expand my interaction with God's greatness.
Hebrews 1:3 appears to position God's son as a separate entity to God's self. It seems to describe a new revelation of God. This one being everything that God is. I read this passage as saying that "The Son" is God revealed through creation, redemption, and His Word.
The application to this information is all about seeing Jesus life as God bridging the gap, and showing his true nature. We can get very confused in observing life, and drawing conclusions based on the way we see events and circumstances. It's so hard to see clearly how often we can't see clearly :)
