"Sin is Crime", a big translating error in Chinese version Bible
There is a big error in the translation in the Chinese version Bible.
The very important definition "sin" was translated to 罪which definitely has the meaning of crime in secular circumstance.
I searched from the dictionaries in English, "sin" is only defined in religious
and moral area. "sin" was generated by the disobedience to God and condemned by God to Adam, it has nothing to do with Adam's descendants if they have crime or not.
There is no exactly the same meaning word in Chinese as "sin" because there was no corresponding religion system in China before Christian spread into China.
So, I strongly recommend that use another Chinese character such as "辛" or"莘" to replace the character "罪" , and then the churches and priests can explain what this character "辛" means in this religion and this can help the beginners from confusion of sin and crime and get unnecessary inner-ward suffering.
It is ridiculous that convince someone to consider himself or herself to have crime
just because of starting to believe in God.
I just want to raise the attention of the righteous priests, especially the experts in Chinese language, to think it over about this translation.
