I read Genesis while comparing to Matthew 1
Pay attention to all the lineage stuff in Genesis and look for those names in the lineage given in Matthew 1 showing the line from Abraham to Jesus. My favorite right now is Genesis 38, the seemingly A.D.D. story of Judah and Tamar placed in the middle of Joseph's story like a commercial break. Guess whose names I found in Matthew 1? God doesn't need you to be perfect. He wants your love, faith, and obedience so He can work miracles through you!
