...because of Jesus' life and Him living in me I have peace with God

Observation
I have hid from God most of my life - so had the writer of the book of Romans, Paul. God offered the olive branch of peace to Paul as God offered it to me, you, your sister and the familiy living next door or the guy who just sped by alone in the carpool lane. All of us hide from God because of something. Jesus fixed the something - and the result? Peace - no more hiding. No more shuffling in the shadows.

Application
Romans 5:1 was the first verse I ever memorized. By now it is as familiar as my breathing.

And, it has taken years to become comfortable being with God, just sitting, not having to do anything. Most of my life with God I have been like a squirmy little kid, but God in his splendid way continues to walk across the room with an olive branch.

Prayer
Father thank you for building a bridge across the chasm, for sending Jesus to show me a better way, for your continual love and acceptance though I wander off!
