What was the natural first steps of the new believers in the early church? The primary things: the Apostles' teaching, and fellowship, the Lord's Supper, and prayer. The Lord's Supper was generally on their Sunday morning gathering. Teaching and prayer were more prominent. But the primary fleshing out of new life in Christ was fellowship--the daily sharing of their new lives, together--the formation of a new community that had daily interaction with fellow believers, sprinkled with on-the-go teaching and prayer.

In the West, we are so individualistic that we don't even function as a community IN THE CHURCH. We need to push true biblical fellowship a LOT harder, and become the counter-cultural force Jesus wants.

God, I want to share my life with Your people on a daily basis. Hep me to move in that direction.
