God-Followers Need Jesus
The Bible talks a lot about the people of God being from every tribe, tongue, and language. And missionary efforts focus on many unreached people groups (ta ethne). We often think that we need to go there and tell them about God, but God is already at work on all men's hearts. Romans 1 reminds us that God is clearly known through His creation. What they need us to tell them about is what God has specifically done for us in Jesus. That is what Cornelius responded to and what all those who are God-followers will respond to, as well.
In our neck of the woods, this dilemma has yet another twist. Many people around here already know about God and even have an idea about who Jesus is but, like Cornelius, it is incomplete and they don't know the real story.
God, help us to be wise and discerning in dealing with our neighbors who know ABOUT You but who don't really know YOU, yet.
