Another Kind of Baptism

"4 And Paul said, John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, Jesus." Notice that the Jews were baptized by John and told to repent. This is not the same as "believing in" Jesus, that is "trusting" Jesus, for eternal life, wherein "repentence" is not required (depending on how you define repentence). If you define repentence as a change of mind from trusting yourself to trusting Jesus, then repentence is required to trust Christ. If you define repentence as turning away from all of your sins, then repentence is impossible until after you trust Christ because you are dead in your sin.
