The way of a Father

Being a father myself I like this verse as it instructs us a earthly fathers how to treat our children, but it is more intentional as well at telling the believer how to disciple those believers under you. Encourage them. This brings a "can do" attitude to the table. Comfort them. This allows for them to open up and build trust because of the care and time you give. Urge them to live holy lives for God. This is far different then forcing the Bible down their throats, but rather a gentle nudge into the right direction. A much softer image then one normally attributed to modern day Christians.
