response to Missy Lou - 23rd Psalm
You would love to read "a shepherd looks at the 23rd Psalm" by Phillip Keller. It is an amazing story written from the eyes of a real shepherd. He speaks so deeply and passionately about how the shepherd cares and protects his sheep and how it is applicable to us, as the sheep of Christ fold.
I recommend this to anyone.
I understand whole heartedly your comment about hearing the 23rd Psalm at funerals. Doing what I do for a living, I hear it the 23rd Psalm a couple of times a week, but even then, I hearken back to Phillip Keller's book and it becomes so very personal to me.
