Praise the Lord

There are a couple more contributions I want to enter, but as I finish my reading plan in Psalms I do want to contribute this thought. The last four chapters of the Psalms all begin with the command "Praise the Lord!". This seems so simple, but yet it's so complex. On a good day, when everything goes right, it's easy to say praise the Lord. But remember that in those hard times, in failures and bad days, in tough economic times, in broken hearts, in ailments and diseases, in the "when nothing goes right" times, you need to praise the Lord. He is our God. He is our creator. He gave us life. He gave us his son. He has been so merciful, giving us well beyond what we deserve. So I say the compiler of the Psalms got it right. This book is full of ups and downs, anger, depression, uncertainty, failures, repentance....but at the very end it is emphasized in four chapters to "Praise the Lord!" So today and always, through EVERYTHING, I will praise the Lord.
