Genealogy of Jesus
Maybe you are reading Luke for the first time? Or you've read it many times, but you all always skipped past the genealogy because it just seemed like a list of names you don't know? Maybe it would help to consider that perhaps the Gospel writer is less concerned with giving us a list of facts and more interested in pointing to a Truth about who Jesus is.
Who do you recognize in the list? What do you know about that person? What might Jesus' connection to them say about who Jesus is?
